The challenge

Brand identity and Company Profile for a new Kenyan building contractor named after keeping time. I designed the logo, colour and type system, a 25-spread brand guidelines book and the 2026 company profile.

My part: Designer: logo, brand identity, brand guidelines and company profile.

What they were up against

Chronometrical Contractors Limited, incorporated in Kenya in October 2026, needed a full identity before it started bidding for work. Its clients, from county governments to private homeowners, commit large budgets to fixed deadlines, so the brand had to show that the firm holds its dates.

What I tried

I traced the two logo references the client shared to their sources and checked them for legal risk, then explored four routes: a clock C, a hex C, a crane and pendulum, and stacked storey slabs. The final mark is a house built from measured angles: a 45° roof, an 18.

5° eave that drives the graphic device, a chimney whose width sets the spacing unit, and a stepped cut that climbs like a construction programme. Forest green stands for stability and gold for time, a deliberate step away from the usual construction blue and orange.

The voice follows one rule: say the date, show the number.

What shipped

Handed over a complete identity ready for the firm's first bids: a 19-version logo suite in SVG and PNG, a 25-spread brand guidelines book in digital and print-ready PDF (with bleed and crop marks), and the 2026 company profile.
